Australians are perceived in text as, beer-drinking larrikins, people who use kangaroos as a transportation, crocodile wrestlers, lack in fashion, foster beers, desert, sparsely populated and bushmans and mateship. However these representations are not true. Stereotype is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. I strongly believe that Australia does have a distinctive stereotype, however they are not perceived in text accurately in modern days in Australia.
