Where Is the Thesis Statement Often Found in an Essay?
OATD – Open Access Theses and Dissertations
Every essay needs a strong thesis statement. Typically limited to one or two sentences, the purpose of a thesis statement is to preview the main point or primary argument of an essay or other type of paper. It provides readers with an overview of what the document is about and why they should read it. Once the topic has been sufficiently narrowed, determine what question you want to investigate for your essay.
The thesis is not the hook that grabs the reader. It is, however, the single sentence that gives direction to your essay. It not only narrows your focus, it also identifies the main points you will evaluate, explain or justify.
Looking at it and analyzing it, you can get a clear understanding of what your own paper should look like. There is a lack of properly written papers you can find online. And that is obvious as no one wants his intellectual property to have an open access without any profits coming.
